OUR AIM

The aim of the programmes delivered by North Wales Training at Kinmel Camp is to provide the environment and resources necessary for its learners to develop their potential in academics, leadership, physical well-being, moral character, and self-discipline so they become productive citizens in a diverse, global society.

Who should attend?

 

Thinking of a career in the Armed Forces?

 

North Wales Training with support from the Regular Army will help you prepare for the selection.

If you are aged 16-18 and interested in a career in one of the uniformed public services, such as Armed Forces; Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.

 

The aim of the Engagement Programme is to overcome any barriers you may have that will prevent you from being successful with your application to join the Armed Forces.

 

We work closely with the Armed Forces Careers Office to ensure you get the right career choice and at the earliest opportunity.

 

This is an ideal opportunity to see if the forces is the career for you, if you decide it is not, we can transfer you to our Aspire programme to find an alternative career.

 

What activities will learners do?

Physical Fitness

You will follow a structured fitness programme

 

Interview Skills

You will learn and practice interview skills

 

Career Planning

You will look at job options in the Armed Forces

 

Teamwork

You will learn and practice working with others

 

Confidence building

You will learn and practice presentation skills

 

Basic Military Skills:

Drill

Fieldcraft

First Aid

Map & Compass

Military Knowledge

 

  • Free use of full uniform – Boots, Combat Trousers, Belt, Polo Shirt, Fleece Jacket, T-Shirt & Rucksack
  • Attend 3 days a week for 26 weeks
  • You will receive £30.00 training allowance a week
  • Assistance with travel costs
  • Advice & guidance on suitable career choices and support with application
